Insulin therapy may be required to maintain serum glucose levels less than 180 mg per dL. Blood product therapy may be required in some cases to correct coagulopathy and anemia, and to improve the central venous oxygen saturation. Early antibiotic therapy can improve clinical outcomes, and should be given within one hour of suspected sepsis. Vasopressor therapy is indicated when fluid resuscitation fails to restore adequate mean arterial pressure and organ perfusion. Initial management includes respiratory stabilization followed by aggressive fluid resuscitation. Early goal-directed therapy completed within the first six hours of sepsis recognition significantly decreases in-hospital mortality. Fever is often the first manifestation of sepsis, with pneumonia being the most common presentation leading to sepsis. The most common sites of infection are the respiratory, genitourinary, and gastrointestinal systems, as well as the skin and soft tissue. The clinical presentation of sepsis is highly variable depending on the etiology. Mortality rates from sepsis range between 25% to 30% for severe sepsis and 40% to 70% for septic shock. Sepsis is a complication of severe infection characterized by a systemic inflammatory response.

He also launched his flagship Restoring Neighborhoods Workforce (RENEW) initiative in 2013, teaching individuals in custody marketable job skills in the field of deconstruction while taking down dilapidated vacant housing in distressed suburban Cook County communities. Sheriff Dart regularly holds job fairs in the Cook County Jail’s Mental Health Transition Center, directly connecting minimum security individuals in custody with prospective employers. The expungement reform legislation marks the latest step in Sheriff Dart’s push to encourage job opportunities for non-violent ex-offenders, a campaign of which Crain’s Chicago recently editorialized in support. Sheriff Dart strongly feels that the expungement application fee of $120 or more serves as an irrational and unjust burden for people who have had charges dropped or were found not guilty. The inability to overcome the legal and financial burdens of securing expungements often locks non-violent offenders out of the job market, substantially increasing their rates of recidivating back into Cook County Jail. “This legislation will disrupt that insidious practice, while giving both non-violent ex-offenders as well as the falsely accused opportunities to restore their good names and pursue long-term employment and stability.”Īccording to Sheriff’s Office research, 17 percent of the more than 70,000 people who enter Cook County Jail every year get released as a result of having their cases dropped or being found not guilty, and this does not even take into account those who could afford to pay their bonds or were given house arrest. “For far too long, government has filled its coffers with overly punitive criminal justice policies directed at the poor and vulnerable,” said Sheriff Dart. HB 6328 marks the first legislation in Illinois history that would actually make it less burdensome for individuals to expunge parts of their arrest records. The bill does not expand the offenses for which expungement relief is available. Eliminates the fee of $120 or more to apply for expungements for those who have had their charges dropped.Under current law, anyone with a previous conviction for any offense – no matter how long ago – is barred from applying for arrest expungements. Most commissioners stressed the unprecedented times the crisis has thrown Cook County into and said Preckwinkle has stepped up to the plate in responding to the pandemic. Such decisions need to be made “quickly” given that vendors are selling out, Guzman said. Guzman said during the meeting that emergency transfers have been used in the past two months to buy supplies such as PPE for Cook County Health, Cook County’s Department of Public Health and the Department of Emergency Management and Regional Security. “Working together, broaching questions and thinking about the different items and … the reflection of how those budget items come to pass and the checks and balances generally result in a better work product,” Degnen said. It was approved 15-2, with Commissioners Bridget Degnen, D-Chicago, and Morrison voting no while calling for more board meetings on budget items. We can only hope Ghostrunner 2 will be better optimized for consoles given the extra horsepower behind the PS5 and Xbox Series X. Despite the differences, 505 reveals that Ghostrunner has sold 600,000 copies across the board since launch. It was a different story on consoles the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions suffered from unstable frame rates and other issues that made it nigh unplayable in some instances. Ghostrunner’s action looked and ran great on PC. It launched in October 2020 to positive reviews thanks to its fantastic sense of movement but it was also a tale of two games. Players must swiftly traverse its futuristic world with pinpoint accuracy, cutting down foes in rapid succession and rarely pausing to take a breather, lest you risk death. If you missed Ghostrunner the first time around, its gameplay blends first-person swordplay with fast-paced parkour-style traversal. Speaking of which, the press release also reiterates that the original Ghostrunner is still coming to new-gen consoles before the end of the year. 505 Games will assume full publishing duties after acquiring the IP and replacing All In! Games who published the first game. All we know is that Ghostrunner 2 is planned to launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Sadly, the announcement doesn’t share any details on gameplay, story, nor a release window. 505 Games announced Ghostrunner 2 today, giving fans of the brutal yet stylish adventure a new challenge to test their reflexes against. The sequel looks to carry on that same aesthetic, from what we've seen so far.Dystopian cyberpunk action game Ghostrunner is getting a sequel. Think of it as a mix of a mix of Titanfall, Dishonored and Superhot, and you're in the right sort-of bracket. The original game has a 93% user approval rating, enjoys great Steam reviews, and has sold over half a million copies. "Adapt to and master the gameplay as only a cyber ninja would. "Bursting with new powers, upgradeable abilities, traversal mechanics, an expanded narrative, deeper world building, and devilish new enemies, Ghostrunner 2 is the ultimate power fantasy… every kill will be earned," continues the press release. Could this be the cyberpunk fantasy that many were expecting from the troubled launch of CD Projekt Red's game finally come to life? Well, it may be too early to say. "The sequel promises to up the ante from the original in every conceivable way, including, for the first time, vehicular combat as Jack takes to the wastelands on his new motorcycle," says a press release. The studio notes that the 'fast-paced-push-forward combat' of the original game is intact and amped up for this release, and that the challenging gameplay present in the original title makes a welcome return, too. It's set one year after Ghostrunner, and stars cyber ninja protagonist Jack emerging from the deathtrap of Dharma Tower for the first time to explore the sprawling wasteland beyond. Per a press release, Ghostrunner 2 is a proper sequel to the first-person action game hit. Equip your neon-tinted sunglasses, rage against the corporate machine, and break out the synthwave: Ghostrunner 2 is real – and it's ready to stylishly slice up your preffered gaming platform and run it over with a needlessly loud motorbike at some point later in 2023. Unfortunately, we will only get an exact answer after the game is released. Team Cherry announced the news with a blog post, reveal trailer (featured above), and a twenty. The initial plan was to continue Hollow Knight from where the previous game left off - that's how most expansions work. Hollow Knight is getting a sequel called Hollow Knight: Silksong. There is another fact that suggests viewing the game as a sequel only: initially, the developers did not plan to make a new game as a continuation, but rather wanted to release another expansion. In our opinion, this is a very good basis for a sequel. It is quite possible that this character will play a central role in Silksong. If you don't remember, in the finale of the DLC with the Grimm Troupe, a new villain appears - the Void Entity. On the other hand, some players speculate that the ending of the Godmaster DLC may be connected to the second part. In that case, the story would revolve around Hornet's adventures, leading to her return to Hallownest and her encounter with the Hollow Knight (with time intertwining with the events of the first part). Many players speculate that Silksong is actually a prequel. Is Hollow Knight: Silksong a sequel or a prequel? Then the Godmaster DLC was released, which introduced two more endings to the world of Hollow Knight, both of which could directly lead to a new storyline following Hornet in Silksong. Both endings send the main character to the Void, either to become a perfect vessel for the last villain, the Radiance, or to destroy it and free Hallownest. The original release of Hollow Knight had three endings, one of which is considered the most successful (the ending where the player defeats the source of infection), while in the second ending, the Hollow becomes a new vessel. So, it remains a matter of speculation as to which ending will serve as the continuation or prequel to Silksong. When it comes to analyzing the storyline of Hollow Knight: Silksong and its predecessor, the task becomes a bit more challenging because the developers themselves have stated that there is no one "correct" ending (not to mention the various DLCs in the game). Who wouldn't want to see even the slightest hint of Hallownest in the second part? Hollow Knight Endings It is obvious that there will definitely be a connection to the first part, as Hollow Knight fans would be very upset if there were no narrative ties to their beloved game. But at which point will the sequel diverge from the various endings of the original? And will the story be connected at all? Since the beginning of 2019, fans and members of the Hollow Knight community have eagerly awaited news about the upcoming sequel, Silksong, which will bring players a completely new experience. Let's start with the most important point - the endings of Hollow Knight will be connected to the story of Silksong, regardless of whether the game is a prequel or a sequel. The consept of the game is fine but their are so many holes that require something doing that it makes the game some what unplayable for the more advanced city builder in us. Why transporting goods to the dock has to be done via car's why can't they have freight trains that collect the goods from a warehouse and deliver it to the docks for transportation? The other game was Pole Position (a Formula 1 management game), but that too got boring and repetative. When it comes to storage the two phones differ somewhat. The iPhone has just 4GB RAM, but iPhones generally need less RAM than Android devices anyway. Its lightning-fast performance means it can handle anything, including playing the latest games. It’s a six-core CPU with four high-efficiency cores and two high-performance cores. The iPhone SE (2022) packs Apple’s A15 Bionic chip, the same processor found in the iPhone 13. This should mean the chip can handle anything, from multi-tasking to gaming. Samsung was keen to point out that this chip is made with a 5nm process, something it reserved for its flagships until a few years ago. Notably, you can allocate up to 6GB of the phone’s 128GB storage as virtual RAM, great for multi-tasking or more demanding games. The Samsung Galaxy A53 is powered by the octa-core Exynos 1280 chip, with 6GB or 8GB of RAM. There are several noticeable differences between the two phones in this category. In practice, you shouldn’t notice much difference between the two phones’ refresh rates, but if you’re a heavy gamer, the 120Hz display may be a wiser choice. The iPhone SE (2022) has a much smaller 4.7-inch Liquid Retina display with 1334 x 750 resolution (326 ppi) and a 60Hz refresh rate. You also benefit from a 120Hz refresh rate so the display is fast and responsive, and particularly noticeable if you’re playing demanding games like Genshin Impact. When it comes to screen size, the Galaxy A53’s 6.5-inch Super AMOLED Full HD+ display boasts 2400 x 1080 resolution (407 ppi) and there’s plenty of brightness. The iPhone’s smaller size - it measures just 67.3mm in width and 138.4mm in height - makes this the ideal phone for one-handed use, and it’s light too, at 144 grams. Brunswick started building billiard tables in his machine shop in 1845, becoming a force in the industry.ĭuring King Louis XIV’s reign in the 1600s, billiards was still played with a sort of club, similar to a croquet mallet, and the ball was pushed around, rather than hit. Captain Mingaud is remembered for inventing the cue tip we know today. John Wesley Hyatt is responsible for the composite billiard ball. The furniture maker John Thurston became an important name in the world of billiards, as he began to meet the growing need for billiard tables in Europe.200 years later, King Louis XIV had an important influence on the game, making it quite popular with the nobility and changing some of its basic aspects.Billiards took some time to move completely indoors, but the first person who is known to have owned an indoor billiard table was King Louis XI of France in the 1400s.However, a number of important people have had a strong bearing on the evolution of the game and what it has become. Sadly, we have no way of knowing who the very first inventor of billiards was-that information has been lost to time. It was an outdoor game back then, and looked something like the game of croquet, played on the grass with a mallet. Our first solid record of when billiards was played is from the 1340s in France, although you would not recognize it as the game we play today. What we do know for sure is that some version of billiards has been played for at least the last 680 years. The passing of time means that we will never know how similar, if at all, this game actually was to billiards, but it is fun to imagine. There is a record of an ancient Greek traveler named Anacharsis who reportedly saw some Egyptians playing a game that may or may not have been similar to billiards about 2.5 thousand years ago, and that it may have been adopted by the Greeks. But before we get into what we do know, here’s some interesting speculation: There is some question as to exactly when billiards was invented, but there is plenty of historical evidence to support some popular theories on the subject. In its most basic form, billiards is a game usually played by 2 people or 2 teams, and involves striking balls with a cue with the intention of shooting them into pockets, either directly or by bouncing them off the cushioned walls that edge the table’s surface. According to Britannica, billiards is “any of various games played on a rectangular table with a designated number of small balls and a long stick called a cue.” Billiards is a game with many forms, including snooker and the many varieties of pool.
